Mary Kay Wins Best Website at Beauty 2.0

The awards were voted on by consumers, and the ceremony was held in Paris.

Mary Kay Inc. took home the honor for ‘Best Website’ at the 1st Beauty 2.0 Awards held in Paris, France, on Nov. 12-13.

The inaugural awards ceremony by InnosCos events and the Global Cosmetics Community recognized the most ground-breaking innovation in digital marketing by beauty brands.

Out of more than 300 entries, a panel of industry experts carefully selected the top five finalists in the ‘Best Website’ category. Consumers worldwide voted Mary Kay as the most innovative and pioneering online beauty company.

“It is a huge honor to receive this award voted on by Mary Kay brand lovers from around the world,” said Jamie Schott, Director of Corporate Digital Marketing at Mary Kay Inc.

Schott continued, “Our award-winning website allows Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants to enhance personal connections with her customers through an engaging digital experience. Being a category leader means we continue to provide our independent sales force with technology that revolutionizes how they can market the brand and Mary Kay products while delivering best-in-class service.”

With the proliferation of online shopping, consumers expect to be able to shop, via the internet, when and how they want.

In 2012, recognizing the internet as an increasingly important retail channel for the Independent Beauty Consultants, Mary Kay Inc. launched a new marykay.com, as well as individual personal websites for Independent Beauty Consultants to allow them to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations with faster, easier online shopping. The entire site is also available on mobile devices.

Traffic to marykay.com continues to grow with more than 67 million global visits expected in 2013.

In addition to a mobile-optimized website, Mary Kay Inc. plans to continue expanding its award-winning website to other markets around the world.
